FPT’s terminal services includes provision of secure dedicated berths to shipping lines.

This entails the Coordination of cargo for vessels, Receipt, tally, dispatch and weighing of cargo

Currently our terminal handles the following cargo types

Container Services

We provide a full range of services for containerized cargo, from packing and unpacking services, to loading of containers for both reefer and general purpose containers.

These services consist of:

  • Packing and unpacking
  • Storage
  • Reefer plug-in points
  • SOLAS weighing
  • Strapping /lashing / shrink-wrapping and palletizing

Cold Storage

Cold storage of temperature sensitive cargo according to customer requirement and specifications in dedicated warehouses

  • Other temperature sensitive cargo
  • Cold treatment programmes

Ambient Storage

FPT provided covered and uncovered secure storage areas for a wide range of cargo

  • Dry bulk

Bonded Storage

Due to FPT’s location we are already in a Customs Controlled environment, however we too provide a full Bonded Facility at certain Port Terminals which will enable longer term storage for bonded goods.

Stevedoring

FPT provides stevedoring services for any cargo handled through our own facilities and also provide services to Transnet facilities located in the ports of Cape Town, Saldanha, Port Elizabeth, Ngqura, Durban and Richards Bay.

Clearing and Forwarding

FPT offers a clearing and forwarding service for all dry and perishable products.
